Things have been happening in the wildlife rehabilitation realm for me. Since taking up full time studies and doing some subjects that I believed should not be mixed with wildlife care, microbiology, comes to mind, I have paused the rehabilitation program. During the hiatus I have studied some raptor medicine courses with the University of Minnesota and learnt so much more about rehabilitation of these interesting birds.
I have also come to terms that my studies will take a front row seat for a while longer, but that's not to say wildlife will take the back row. Far from it! All enclosures are completed now and new equipment established including the reptile enclosure.
I am also now trained in elapids so that is a great leap of faith for me.
Finally to everyone who has supported me, I thank you sincerely! Without your support the rehabilitation centre would not have been possible. Stacy
